On Saturday, April 13, we hosted a UX Prototyping Workshop at Hansen Multimedia. A group of HCI Students and industry professionals got together under the skillful leadership of Noelle Webster to work on prototyping parking meter concepts for the city of Indianapolis. Noelle’s Masters Project in the HCI program at IUPUI was a study on improving the user experience of the new parking meter payment stations in downtown Indianapolis.
As part of her project she put together a UX Prototyping Workshop to explore concepts of rapid prototyping around a common problem space. The newly installed pay stations in Indianapolis provide the perfect opportunity to do physical prototyping on an actual artifact. What better way to spend a Saturday morning? It was a lot of fun getting together with the group with the goal to prototype a new pay station.
A special thanks to Stuart Ough for helping Noelle gain credit for this as an Independent Study. And thanks to David Mathew for letting me snatch is camera to take these photos.
